Week of October 6, 2026: Welcome letters will be available for you. Welcome letters include student account creation codes and instructions for your family to set up MySchools accounts myschools.nyc Opens in a new browser tab . You will be notified when welcome letters are available.
October 14, 2026: Middle School application opens
October 20, 2026: Live virtual information session about applying to middle school 5pm to 6pm | Event held in English. Interpretation provided in: Bangla, Korean, Spanish, Albanian

Students with Disabilities
Every DOE middle school and high school welcomes and serves students with disabilities according to their IEPs. Students with disabilities can apply to all middle schools and high schools and/or programs, including all programs with screened or audition admissions methods. When your child tests or auditions, we will provide any testing accommodations in their IEP as long as these accommodations do not change the skills or content the test is measuring.
Middle School Visits
Take time to review the information on this site and plan which schools you'd like to visit. Some schools have virtual/on-line tours, while other schools are hosting in-person tours. Many schools require registering for tours. Tour dates will be updated throughout the fall.
