• Fun and Friendship Day is Wednesday June 5th!

  A beloved schoolwide tradition, PS172's annual Fun and Friendship Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th! Students will enjoy different a variety of fun activities and stations throughout the day, both inside and outside their classrooms! As imagined by the Youth Equity Team, F&F aims to create exciting, memorable experiences amongst the students at PS172, celebrating our diversity of countries and cultures, and inspiring inclusion and belonging within our school community.

  Interested in helping? Look for the flyer sent home in your student's backpack or email Ms Todras at etodras@schools.nyc.gov

  We need volunteers, donations of genlty used books, packaged snacks, popcorn machine refills, supplies, and more! Every bit helps make sure our students have a Fun and Friendship Day to remember!

• Free Family Appreciation Brunch - Sat 5/18 - 10-12pm

  Join us this Saturday 5/18 from 10-12pm in the school yard (or gym) as the PTA serves a FREE breakfast in appreciation of PS172 families. We'll have waffles, eggs, pastries, fruit, coffee, and more. We'll also be holding the drawing for our annual SUPER RAFFLE (get your tickets in the main office now or on the day!). Drop by and say hello!

• Happy Staff Appreciation Week(s)!

  PS172 is proud to recognize and celebrate the wonderful staff who make our school an amazing place to be! From May 6-17th, we'll be treating staff to breakfasts, lunches, raffles and more--small tokens when compared to the amazing work that happens within these walls. THANK YOU to all our staffers whose patience, laughter, and wisdom make the magic happen every day.

• Spring Swap is 4/3 (Everything is FREE!)

  Join the PTA as we host our bi-annual spring swap on Wed 4/3 in the school yard from 2:30-4:00pm! Families donate what they don't need, and everyone is welcome to take what they like for free! We'll also have baked goods for sale.

  Have things to donate? We're accepting preK to 5th grade clothing, shoes, accessories, books, toys and games through Wed 3/27. Drop off all donations at the main entrance. Labeling by size and folding are appreciated. Please, NO adult items.
